Return Policy We are proud of our quality products and strive to make the return process easy and efficient.
What can I return?

The vast majority of the items we sell may be returned, however some items are not returnable. Items which are custom-ordered (such as kitchen cabinets), or custom-made (like windows and pre-hung doors), may not be returned.

Are there return fees?

There are no restock fees for stocked material. Shipping or pick-up costs may apply. Please note that the original shipping charges are not refundable as part of your return or exchange.

Shipping charges do not apply when you return your merchandise in person at one of our yards.

We do not charge return shipping if your purchase is defective, or if we make an error.

How do I get my stuff back to you?

There are two easy ways to return your merchandise:

  • Bring your item(s) back to any Dunn Lumber yard location.

  • If you have large and/or heavy merchandise, and it’s within our delivery zone, you may contact us and arrange for a Dunn Lumber truck to swing by and pick up your material. A $40 fee applies to our local Seattle-area delivery zone.

    Contact our Sales Department for a pick-up quote if you’re outside our local delivery zone.

Do I need a receipt?

If you have an account with Dunn Lumber, you do not need a receipt to make a return (see power tool exception below). If you do not have a Dunn Lumber account, a receipt is required to make a return.

Power Tool Return Policy

Power tools can only be returned if the customer has a receipt for the original purchase and if the purchase occurred within the last 90 days.

Non-returnable merchandise
Special Orders

Special orders (non-stocked) and custom-made items (i.e., Milgard windows, pre-hung doors, semi-custom kitchen cabinets) are not eligible for return or store credit.

Special orders must be picked up or scheduled for delivery within 30 days. Items not picked up within 30 days will be charged a storage fee of $20 per day.

Clearance items

Clearance items are final sale and cannot be returned.

Gift Cards

Dunn Lumber gift cards are non-returnable and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash, check, or credit.

Returning your money

If you paid by credit card be sure to bring the same card with you for the return/credit. Your refund will be issued to the original form of payment you used to make your purchase.

If you have a Dunn Lumber commercial account, your return will be issued to your commercial account as soon as your merchandise is inspected and processed.
