DIY Window Cleaner | Green Cleaning

Kirsten|Kirsten

"Homemade window cleaner is a staple of DIY green cleaners. You don’t need toxic chemicals to get squeaky-clean and streak-free windows. It’s great for all kinds of glass and it only takes a couple of minutes to make. This natural window cleaner is a powerful replacement for the ammonia-filled cleaner you may be used to."

Step 1

Start by measuring one cup of distilled water. Distilled water prolongs the shelf life of homemade window cleaner, but tap water can be used as well.

Step 2white vinegar for window cleaner

Next, add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar for its antibacterial properties and 2 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol. The rubbing alcohol disinfects and evaporates quickly, leaving your windows and mirrors streak-free. Then incorporate your favorite essential oils.
