Security measures on our site

General

When you place orders on our website, all of your order information, including your credit card number and delivery address, is transmitted through the Internet using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL technology causes your browser to encrypt your order information before transmitting it to our secure server. SSL technology, an industry standard, is designed to prevent someone other than operators of our website from capturing and viewing your personal information.

While we use industry standard means to protect our websites and your information, the Internet is not 100% secure. The measures we use are appropriate for the type of information we collect. We cannot promise that your use of our website will be completely safe. We encourage you to use caution when using the Internet.

As an added security measure, Dunn Lumber Co. does not maintain or store any credit card information on our servers. When you submit credit card payment information to us, this information is immediately 'tokenized,' converted to a 16-character, organically random genererated, alphanumeric ID that can only be securely regenerated by our provider, Shift4. In an of itself, this has no meaning and no decipherable relation to credit card data. All card data is securely handled in a Shift4 PCI-compliant data center, which is the only place a relation between card data and the token exists.

After a transaction, your credit card number will not be kept on file.
