Dunn Lumber
Door Shop

The Pacific Northwest’s best source
for prehung doors

Experience

Our Custom Door Shop has been in continuous operation for more than forty years.  Nonetheless, we’ve been one of the best kept secrets in the Pacific Northwest.  Our attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, materials and customer service is unequalled.  This proven commitment applies whether you’re a homeowner buying one door or a contractor who needs dozens.

Knowledgeable sales staff

Our professional sales staff can provide a quote from a customer-provided list, a door schedule, or from a set of construction plans. With decades of experience, they can help you choose from a wide range of door styles and manufacturers.

What is a rough opening?

Craftsmanship

Every door unit is built and assembled by hand by one of our three craftsmen who together have a combination of more than fifty years of experience.  They’re dedicated to producing every door unit with both top-quality materials and craftsmanship.

Ordering match-up doors

In a match-up, new doors are machined to match your old doors.  This allows you to replace your doors without having to remove the old jambs and casings.

To order match-ups you can either bring your old doors to any Dunn Lumber® location, or just provide us with accurately measured specifications for each door (+/- 1/32”).  We have created a special form with detailed measuring instructions that’s available at every Dunn Lumber® location.

Our Door Shop will then machine new doors to match the old jambs.  Almost all match-ups require some final fitting and adjustments as the doors are fit into the existing jambs.  After you make sure they fit the old jambs properly, they may then be painted or stained.

There are situations where a match-up is not the best option.  Ask any Dunn Lumber® salesperson for assistance.

Service

Every door we build can be delivered to your job site or home in our customized millwork truck.  This specially-designed truck protects your doors against damage during transit and is available throughout our normal delivery area.

What sets Dunn Lumber® apart from our competition is our commitment to stand behind our products after the sale.  Since 1907, we’ve been dedicated to complete customer satisfaction.
